When we stood in the workshop holding a lump of 22K gold in our hands, it was one of those defining moments: how soft and dense it felt – not cold or metallic, but like a glowing sun.

22K gold is rarely seen because it is somewhat softer and not suitable for thin, hollow shapes like the common 18K gold (only 75% gold).
But who needs hollow shapes anyway?
Simple, solid forms, a warm glow from within. Pure and minimalist.
We cast jewelry for every day: heavy, warm, soft and pure - in the simplest forms.
Yes, many wedding rings in Switzerland used to be made of 22K gold. And in eastern cultures, almost only 22K gold is used for all types of jewelry.
There are 2 reasons why jewelry manufacturing in the West is calibrated to 18 carats:
22 carat gold is about 20% more expensive compared to the common 18 carat gold. 22K gold consists of 91.6% pure gold.
It not only has a higher material value, but also a special weight, a warm color and a noticeable depth that other alloys (18K, 14K) do not achieve.
24K is pure gold, but too soft for jewelry. 18K contains only 75% gold, appears brighter and is lighter.
22K is the ideal alloy – high carat, warm in tone, wearable and durable.
